Erollisi Marr, Queen of Love
The goddess of love and compassion, sister-twin to Mithaniel Marr, patron of bards and gentle valor.
Erollisi Marr is the goddess of love, compassion, and the bonds that hold communities together against the dark. She is the sister-twin of Mithaniel Marr — where he is valor, she is the reason valor is worth the cost — and together the Marr siblings form the moral core of the Norrathian good pantheon. Her followers carry her in small acts as well as large: the meal given to a stranger, the friendship that survives an injury, the willingness to forgive when forgiveness is earned.
Her realm is the Plane of Love, formally opened in the Planes of Power expansion as one of the most serene of the outer planes. She is bitterly opposed by Innoruuk, whose hatred is the photographic negative of her love, and is allied with her brother and with the broader good pantheon — Tunare, Quellious, and Mithaniel above all.
Lore
The Marr siblings are not creator-gods in the sense Tunare or Brell are. The myths name them as later additions to the pantheon, raised to godhood from mortal champions — twins who fought side by side in some lost age and were elevated together when the upper gods needed defenders of the surface peoples. Erollisi's elevation came with the recognition that valor without compassion produces tyrants, and her cult is built on the teaching that love is the harder discipline.
Her clergy is most concentrated in the human cities of West Karana, Surefall Glade, and the eastern coastline, with significant presence among Halflings and Bards of any race. Her Valentine's-day-adjacent in-game holiday — the Erollisi Day event — is the canonical observance most associated with her, and her clerics are particularly noted as healers attached to civilian rather than military orders. The Marr cathedrals that hold both siblings' altars are treated as the highest expression of the good pantheon's architecture, and the rare paired-temple is a recognized pilgrimage destination.
Class and race access
Canonical EQ deity restrictions on Erollisi Marr cover Paladin, Cleric, Warrior, Bard, Rogue, Magician, Enchanter, and Wizard. She is one of the deities most associated with the Bard class — her domain of song, devotion, and emotional connection aligns naturally with the Bard's discipline. She does not accept Druids, Rangers, Shamans, Monks, Necromancers, Shadow Knights, or Beastlords.
On The Last Camp the any-race-class doctrine unlocks racial combinations — a Dark Elf Paladin, an Iksar Bard — but the canonical deity-on-class restrictions remain. A Dark Elf Paladin may still claim Erollisi Marr canonically; her domain accepts the class regardless of the player's race, and the racial-faction friction is the cost of choosing her.
Realm and epic ties
The Plane of Love is the formal seat of Erollisi Marr in PoP. No 1.0 epic is forged exclusively in her service, but the Bard epic (Singing Short Sword) carries her implicit blessing through the cultural emphasis on song, and the Paladin epic (Fiery Defender) is built on the joint worship of the Marr siblings. The Erollisi Day event is the most direct way players experience her favor at the era cap, and the Cleric epic (Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh) routes through her clergy at multiple checkpoints.
Notable followers and quests
Her temples in the Erollisi Marr Temple of West Karana and her presence in the Surefall Glade druidic-adjacent cells give her a canonical foothold across the human and halfling lands. The Erollisi Day quest line, the bardic devotional progressions, and the lower-level Paladin armor quests in human cities all reference her clergy. The Plane of Love raid encounters at the era cap surface her direct lieutenants as questgivers and gatekeepers for several era-final progression lines.
The Last Camp-specific notes
The any-race-class doctrine produces particularly lore-coherent characters under Erollisi Marr — a Wood Elf Bard, an Ogre Paladin, a Troll Cleric of the Queen of Love are all within her canonical class scope, and the redemption-arc reading writes itself for the players who want it. Faction with the Marr-faithful is shaped by deity, not race; the racial-faction starts in evil cities will read as expected, and the deity choice will register favorably with Erollisi's clergy regardless of where the character was born.
Worship and observance
Erollisi Day, the Valentine-adjacent in-game holiday, is the canonical high observance of her clergy, and her temples run extended event quest lines for the duration of the festival. Her shrines are typically located in residential districts rather than military or commercial ones, reflecting her doctrine that love is built in the home before it is defended in the field. The Marr cathedrals that hold both siblings' altars are recognized pilgrimage destinations across the human and halfling lands. Initiation into her clergy involves the demonstrated commitment to a community over an extended period, not a single ritual or examination.
