Barbarian starts in Halas and comes out of Everfrost Peaks with a clear identity. Their primary deity tradition is The Tribunal, Rallos Zek. Canon ties them hardest to Warrior, Rogue, Shaman, Beastlord, and Berserker. On The Last Camp, the race keeps that flavor while the class wall comes down.

On The Last Camp

The Last Camp runs the any-race-class doctrine. A Barbarian can roll the full table: War, Cle, Pal, Rng, SK, Dru, Mnk, Brd, Rog, Shm, Nec, Wiz, Mag, Enc, Bst, Ber. The old lockouts mattered on Live; here they are character flavor, not a character creation prison. For this race, the newly rollable set is Cleric, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Druid, Monk, Bard, Necromancer, Wizard, Magician, and Enchanter.

Faction still bites. Barbarian characters start in good standing with Halas, Qeynos, Surefall Glade, and Tribunal-aligned guards. They start hostile or functionally unwelcome around Neriak, Oggok, Grobb, Cabilis, and most evil guild halls. Any-race-class does not launder your face; an enemy race at the wrong gate is still an enemy race.

Plane of Knowledge access changes the long game. At level 1, a Barbarian reaches PoK through Everfrost toward Qeynos, then into the Qeynos stone route when the run is safe. PoK becomes the operating hub; Halas becomes Origin, banking, and identity

Leveling path

  1. 1-8: Everfrost Peaks — wolves, goblins, skeletons, and the cold lesson that distance matters.
  2. 8-14: Blackburrow — gnolls, teeth, trains, and the first real dungeon rhythm.
  3. 14-20: West Karana — bandits and open-field animals with clean sightlines.
  4. 20-25: Permafrost — goblins and ice corridors when the group can hold a camp.

AAs after 65

The level cap is 65. After that, advancement moves into Alternate Advancement: class-defining passives, defensive buttons, pet power, crit lines, and travel tools. Pick AAs by job, not vanity; a race choice gives flavor, but AA spend makes the finished character. Start with Warrior AA, Shaman AA, Beastlord AA, Rogue AA.
