Playing Froglok on The Last Camp
Marr-touched amphibians — broadest canonical class list in the game including Monk, swimming bonus, post-revamp Rivervale starting city.
Playing a Froglok on The Last Camp is the broadest canonical class roster in the game — Warrior, Cleric, Paladin, Shadow Knight, Necromancer, Magician, Wizard, Enchanter, and Monk. That's eleven canonical classes, including the rare Monk pick. The Last Camp unlocks Druid, Ranger, Bard, Rogue, Shaman, Beastlord, and Berserker on the chassis.
The race has the best swim speed in the game (a real combat tool in some zones), a small frame, and the post-revamp lore where Mithaniel Marr resurrected the species and gave them Rivervale as a refuge.

Why this race
Frogloks are one of the most distinctive playable races: small frame, swim speed bonus, AGI curve, and the canonical Monk slot that no other small-race-with-priest-options gets. The Marr-blessed lore is recent (Legacy of Ykesha era) but rich, and Rivervale as a starting city has the Halfling cultural infrastructure already built around it.
Mechanically, Froglok Paladins and Shadow Knights are top-tier picks — small hitbox tanks with infravision-equivalent water vision and the Marr-or-Innoruuk deity choice both available canonically.
Stat profile detail
Froglok starting stats lean on AGI (110) — the highest in the game — and DEX (95). STA (75), STR (70), and WIS (75) are mid, INT (75) is mid, and CHA (50) is low. The unique racial trait is swim speed bonus (effectively top-end swim), which matters in some Cazic-Thule, Plane of Water, and underwater-Kunark zones.
For Monk play, the AGI ceiling is the highest-in-game advantage — Froglok Monks dodge more, riposte more, and avoid more attacks than any other Monk race even before Monk-class avoidance scaling.
The race's +5 disease resist baseline is small but lore-grounded (Marr-blessed amphibian biology) and stays relevant through the leveling curve.
Canonical class fits
Froglok Paladin of Mithaniel Marr is the signature canonical pick — a small-frame plate tank with the canonical Marr deity. Froglok Shadow Knight with the Innoruuk hate-lore (Frogloks were once Innoruuk's slaves before Marr freed them) is mechanically excellent. Cleric of Marr is one of the best priest combos in the game.
Froglok Monk is the unusual canonical pick that no other small race gets — strong AGI, the swim bonus matters in some Monk pull lanes. Froglok Necromancer and Wizard lean into the high-INT pure-caster path. Froglok Shaman is the post-revamp Marr-and-Tribunal pick.
The Last Camp exotic combos
The four classes The Last Camp unlocks are mostly outdoor and ranger-like: Druid, Ranger, Bard, and Beastlord. Froglok Druid of Karana is a great fit — amphibian forest-warden lore writes itself. Froglok Ranger is mechanically strong (small frame, high AGI, swim) and fits the swamp-scout aesthetic.
Froglok Bard is one of the best exotic Bards on the server — small frame for dungeon swarm-pull, AGI/DEX for instrument skill, and the Rivervale cultural-music angle is open. Froglok Beastlord with a frog or amphibian-themed warder is a thematic novelty pick.
Faction implications
Post-revamp Frogloks are friendly to Rivervale, the Halfling factions, and the Marr-aligned temples in Qeynos and Freeport. The faction wall is at the old Innothule Swamp (where Trolls live, who massacred the original Frogloks pre-revamp) and at any Cazic-Thule-aligned NPC. Travel south to PoK is straightforward through the Halfling-friendly corridors.
Recommended starting picks
Froglok Paladin is one of the most-recommended new-player tanks on The Last Camp — small frame, strong canonical lore, easy faction, and Rivervale is one of the gentler newbie cities. Froglok Cleric of Marr is the easiest priest start. Froglok Monk for the rare class slot that fits the body shape.
For a player explicitly looking to lean into The Last Camp's any-race-class doctrine on a Froglok, Froglok Druid of Karana and Froglok Bard are the cleanest exotic picks — both ride the AGI curve well and the Marr-aligned faction baseline keeps quest access open.
Cultural and racial gear
Cultural Froglok (the file is plural-suffixed) covers the post-revamp craftable racial set. The Rivervale newbie quest network is shared with Halflings and is one of the deepest in the game. There are also Marr-temple quest items available to Frogloks specifically that don't drop for Halflings.
Tradeoffs to know
- Swim speed is the highest of any race — irrelevant in most zones but a real combat tool in Cazic-Thule, Plane of Water, and the underwater stretches of Kunark.
- Small frame plus Monk is the unique combination — no other race gets this combo canonically, and it pays off in dungeon swarm-pull tactics.
- Post-revamp lore means some old quest NPCs still treat Frogloks as the pre-revamp swamp-tribe — the wiki will flag the few quests where this matters.
- Rivervale shared with Halflings means double the cultural quest network for a Froglok character — Halfling-given quests usually accept Frogloks.
- Marr alignment is the default — pick Cazic-Thule or Innoruuk only if you're committing to the swamp-revival or Krup-lineage roleplay.
Group and raid role summary
- Best canonical fits: small-frame plate tank (Paladin of Marr, Shadow Knight), priest (Cleric of Marr, Shaman), Monk (the unique canonical small-race-Monk slot), pure-caster (Necromancer, Wizard).
- Best The Last Camp-exotic fits: Druid of Karana, Bard, Beastlord.
- Avoid: Warrior raid main-tank role unless you specifically want a small-frame tank chassis.
Lore notes
Frogloks were originally a primitive amphibian race living in Innothule Swamp until the Trolls drove them to extinction. Mithaniel Marr resurrected them as a Marr-blessed species and granted them Rivervale (which the Halflings agreed to share). The Innoruuk-touched line — the Krup, the Ykesha lineage — explains the canonical Shadow Knight option. Cazic-Thule-aligned Frogloks exist in the swamp dungeons but aren't a playable starting faction.
