Ak'Anon

Ak'Anon is the Gnomish capital, built inside a mountain cavern on Faydwer. Lime-green lanterns, clockwork guardians on patrol, tinkering labs, and the city's iconic clockwork pond (with a clockwork fish). The city is a single zone with multiple interior districts — Royal District, the merchant rows, the Library of Deep Musings, and the workshop levels.

Starting location for

• Gnomes — all canonical classes (Cleric, Enchanter, Magician, Necromancer, Paladin, Rogue, Shadow Knight, Warrior, Wizard)

Districts and camps

• The Royal Court — King Akanon's throne, guarded by Watchmen and a courtly cohort of Clockwork constructs (~48 spawn cluster). The throne sits deep in the city; the path in passes through Cleaner and Scrubber pulls.
• Library of Deep Musings — the Tinkering trainer row, paired with the merchant rows. ~25 spawn cluster of clockwork bowyers, weaponsmiths, armorers, cobblers, and the Lyra Lyrestringer Bard.
• Merchant rows — multiple clusters of Clockwork_Merchant (L40, race 88) at the trade stations: jewelers, tailors, bankers, brewmaster, alchemist, baker, tanner.
• Magician Tower (Deep Musings) — Tergon Brenclog, Juline Urncaller, Tobon Starpyre, Larkon Theardor, Useah Harnbock, and Xalirilan Zarinokosalio cluster (~21 spawn group at -1000, 1000).
• Tradeskill rows — the second merchant cluster at -800, 1400 (~21 spawn group) — armorers, jewelers, weaponsmiths, bankers, plus the Clockwork_XXIIB-tier patrols.
• The workshop — Scrubber, Duster, and Cleaner trash at the Royal Court approach. After the 2026-05-22 TAKP alignment, the Scrubber spawn drops to its canonical L8 (was previously stat-buffed in error).

Faction notes

Ak'Anon is the gnome capital. Friendly factions include the Gnomes of Ak'Anon, the Clockwork courtiers loyal to King Akanon, and the Library of Deep Musings cohort. Rogue clockworks and the Dark Reflection cohort in the workshop levels are hostile and on a separate faction tier.

The faction graph is TAKP-canonical as of the 2026-05-23 Phase 3 backfill — kill credits flow to canonical Gnomes of Ak'Anon, Clockworks of Ak'Anon, King Akanon, Library of Deep Musings, and the rogue Clockworks faction tiers.

Loot highlights

• King Akanon — drops the canonical Royal-tier patterns. Now wired to TAKP loottable 97570 after the 2026-05-22 fix.

Tinkering trainer in the Library row. Multiple banker, jeweler, alchemist, tailor, and cobbler NPCs across the merchant clusters. Ak'Anon is one of the few classic cities where the full tradeskill loadout is in a single zone.
