Quellious is the goddess of peace, serenity, and the disciplined mind that holds itself still. She is the youngest of the major deities by most reckonings, raised to godhood from a child whose presence calmed even the warring gods themselves. Her domain is not pacifism — her clergy can fight, and her monks fight with terrifying skill — but the inner stillness from which right action proceeds.

Her realm is the Plane of Tranquility, opened in the Planes of Power expansion as the central hub of the outer planes. She is broadly allied with the good pantheon and stands in opposition to the gods of fear, hatred, and disease — the deities whose domains are precisely the inner storms her followers train themselves against.

Lore

The myths name Quellious as a mortal child whose extraordinary serenity in the face of an early Norrathian war moved the upper pantheon to elevate her. The detail varies by telling — some name the war, some leave it unnamed — but the core image is consistent: a small figure unmoved by the storm, whose stillness was so complete it became a portion of the pantheon. Her clergy preserves the teaching that peace is not an absence but a discipline, and that discipline is what her monks pursue most directly.

Her worship is most concentrated in the Monastery of the Mistmoore, in the human Quellious-cult cells of Freeport and Qeynos, and in the Hand monastic orders that shape the Monk class across multiple races. Her relationship with the Marr siblings is one of mutual respect: they teach valor in defense of love, she teaches the inner ground from which that valor draws. The Plane of Tranquility serves as the central hub of the PoP outer planes — a structural reflection of her doctrinal position as the still center of the good pantheon.

Class and race access

Canonical EQ deity restrictions on Quellious are unusually broad among the good gods: she accepts Monk, Paladin, Cleric, Warrior, Bard, Rogue, Druid, Ranger, Magician, Enchanter, and Wizard. She is the canonical Monk patron, and a substantial portion of the Monk's lore is built on her teachings. She does not accept Necromancers, Shadow Knights, Shamans, or Beastlords.

On The Last Camp the any-race-class doctrine unlocks racial combinations — a Dark Elf Monk, an Ogre Paladin of Quellious — but the canonical deity-on-class restrictions remain. The Monk class on The Last Camp is the most directly Quellian discipline available regardless of race, and the deity choice is a natural fit for almost any race-class combination her canon accepts. The doctrine of the still mind reads as universal across races, and her clergy is the most likely of the good pantheon's deities to accept a player on the strength of the deity choice alone.

Realm and epic ties

The Plane of Tranquility is Quellious's seat and the structural hub of the PoP planar layout. The Monk epic 1.0 — Celestial Fists — is the most directly Quellian class quest in the canon, woven through her monastic orders from start to finish. Paladin, Druid, and Ranger epics that intersect with the good pantheon also touch her clergy at the era cap, and the Cleric epic (Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh) routes through her courts at multiple checkpoints.

Notable followers and quests

The Monastery of the Mistmoore, the Ashen Order monastic cells, and the Hand monastic tradition are the canonical pillars of her worship. The Monk class progression at every level references her teachings, and the Monk epic chain culminates in a planar encounter directly tied to her court. The Plane of Tranquility raid encounters at the era cap are the most direct interaction with her court available to player groups.

The Last Camp-specific notes

The any-race-class doctrine on The Last Camp creates the most lore-coherent character expansion under Quellious — Iksar Monks (already canonical), Ogre Monks, Troll Monks, Dark Elf Monks all fit her doctrine. Her domain is the discipline of the still mind, and any race that can be trained to that discipline can claim her. Faction starts will reflect the deity choice in any city her clergy holds influence, and the racial-faction friction tends to be lower under Quellious than under the more militant good gods.

Worship and observance

Quellian observances are deliberately quiet — her clergy holds no public festivals and runs no calendar of high days, treating ostentation as antithetical to the doctrine. The Monastery of the Mistmoore conducts an annual silent retreat that her clergy across the continent treats as the canonical capstone of the lay-progression. Initiation into her monastic orders requires extended residency and the demonstrated ability to hold inner stillness under deliberate provocation.
