Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh is the Cleric Epic 1.0 reward — a one-handed blunt wand granted at the close of the Cleric epic chain. The chain runs through Erudin, the Hole, and the deity-aligned hate planes before culminating in the combine that produces the Sprinkler. The wand is the visible mark of a Cleric who has stood at the boundary between life and death and been recognised by their patron deity.

In hand, the Sprinkler combines a heavy WIS / mana stat block with the only undead-banishing click in the era. It replaces a Cleric's prior patchwork of Primary slots — quest-reward maces, raid-drop staves, deity-specific hammers — with one item that lasts the rest of the era through PoP.

Why it matters

The Cleric is the era's primary healer and the keystone of every raid roster. The Sprinkler's contribution is twofold: a stat line tuned to the class's core scaling stats, and a click effect that converts the Cleric into a one-button undead-clearing engine. The 100 mana and 25 WIS push the Cleric's mana cap into the upper tier of era casters and add another layer onto the mana-regen rotation a Cleric leans on for sustained healing.

The click — Reviviscence — is what makes the Sprinkler an Epic 1.0 rather than just a strong caster wand. In undead-heavy zones (Charasis, the various Kunark crypts, the Plane of Hate's lich segments) the click bypasses normal cast-cycle math entirely and lets the Cleric apply a powerful undead-banishing effect without spending mana or interrupting whatever they were already casting.

Honest assessment: the Sprinkler's stat line is solid but not exceptional — later Velious raid drops carry comparable mana and WIS contributions. What keeps the wand equipped through the era is the click. There is no other item in era that gives a Cleric this kind of mana-free undead utility, and that single button reshapes how Clerics are valued in undead raid content.

At-a-glance highlights

  • Headline: Reviviscence click — instant-cast, mana-free undead-banishing effect, the only one of its kind in the era
  • Class restriction: Cleric-only
  • Era: Velious-era completion (chain spans Classic + Kunark + Velious)
  • Slot: Primary (1H blunt)
  • Stat tier: Mid-to-high tier with iconic click; competitive against Velious raid drops on the click alone
  • Walkthrough: Cleric Epic 1.0 chain

Effects

The Last Camp any-race-class note

The Last Camp's open class system allows non-canonical Cleric race combinations — Troll Cleric, Dark Elf Cleric of a good-aligned deity, Ogre Cleric — to pursue the chain. The reward gating is class-based, not race-based, so any character who advanced as a Cleric can wield the Sprinkler regardless of starting race.

The chain's deity-aligned segments are the place where race choice matters most: a Troll Cleric pursuing a Marr-aligned chain path will need additional faction work in Freeport that a canonical Human Cleric of Mithaniel Marr skips entirely. The combine itself and the final reward are class-only gated, so non-canonical race / deity combinations can still complete the chain — they just face a longer faction grind to clear the early dialogue gates.
