THE LAST CAMP

The Werewolf Fur Turn-In is a repeatable faction quest using furs looted from werewolves in Lesser Faydark. Hand them in to Tunare priest NPCs in Greater Faydark or Felwithe for shifts on Tunare-aligned and Faydark factions. This is a mid-tier Faydwer faction grind that pairs with Lesser Faydark leveling.

How to obtain the item

Werewolves spawn in Lesser Faydark — primarily in the central forested areas and along the Greater Faydark border. They patrol in small packs. Drop rate on common werewolf furs is moderate — expect a fur per few kills. Named werewolves (the elder pack-leader spawns) drop the higher-tier named furs that turn in for stronger faction shifts.

Lesser Faydark also contains several other quest mob populations (brownies, faerie mobs, pixies), so most farmers naturally pick up werewolf furs while running other Faydwer chains.

Where to turn in

Hand in to Tunare priest NPCs in Greater Faydark (priest of Tunare in the Kelethin tree-city) and to corresponding NPCs in Felwithe. Different NPCs may give slightly different faction weighting; confirm in your faction window after the first hand-in to pick the optimal NPC for your goal.

Faction implications

Each turn-in raises Faydark's Champions and Soldiers of Tunare faction while lowering werewolf-aligned faction (functionally useless on the player side). Tunare-aligned faction unlocks Tunare-priest dialogs, Druid quest steps, Ranger quest legs, and serves as a parallel path to the Crushbone Belt grind for raising Faydark city access faction.

The shift per fur is moderate. Plan on full stacks of common furs plus a handful of named-werewolf furs for meaningful priest-faction movement.

Variations and edge cases

A few notes:

  • Werewolves are casters. Watch for fear and other annoying spells; bring resists or a ranged-pull approach.
  • Named werewolf packs spawn on timers. Camp for the named-spawn rotation if you want the higher-tier furs.
  • Lesser Faydark is also a notable mid-level zone. Combine fur farming with leveling for efficiency.
  • Tunare priest NPCs vs Champions guards. Different turn-in NPCs may favor slightly different sub-factions — verify in your faction window after the first turn-in.
  • Faction window quirks. Sub-faction lines surface at different rates; hand in one fur to confirm direction before committing the full stack.
  • Greater Faydark Tunare priest is the Kelethin tree-city quest-NPC — reachable from any Faydwer-friendly character.

The Last Camp any-race-class note

Under The Last Camp's any-race-class doctrine, this grind is especially useful for characters whose religion isn't canonically Tunare but who want Tunare-faction access — Wood Elf Necromancers, High Elf Shadow Knights, Half-Elf Clerics-of-Innoruuk under unusual builds. The Faydwer city zones gate some merchant access on religious faction, so non-Tunare characters benefit from a grind that puts them at apprehensive or above with Tunare-priest NPCs.

For Druids and Rangers running canonical Tunare religion, this grind also unlocks several quest dialog branches that require minimum Tunare faction.

Tips

  • Werewolves hit hard for their level. Bring a buddy or self-buff before pulling.
  • Named-werewolf furs are worth holding. Save them for separate turn-ins for the stronger shift.
  • Combine with Crushbone Belt farming. Both feed Faydark's Champions; run them in parallel during Faydwer leveling.
  • Watch for faerie KOS aggro. Faerie packs in Lesser Faydark are KOS to many races — handle them before settling on a werewolf camp.
  • Tunare priest dialogs unlock slowly. The priest will refuse trade until faction crosses apprehensive.
  • Lesser Faydark zone connects to Greater Faydark and Steamfont. The fur turn-in is a short run from the kill location.
  • Bind in Kelethin or Felwithe. Cuts return-trip time on long farming sessions.
  • KOS races: use illusion to reach Felwithe; Kelethin is more forgiving for evil-race characters with apprehensive Faydark faction.
  • Track faction direction. Hand in one fur first, check the faction window, then commit the rest of the stack.
  • Watch for werewolf pack-aggro chains. Adjacent werewolves may add — split spawns or pull singles.
