Enchanter Spell Research
Enchanter-only spell research — the Tome of Endless Enchantments, grimoire pages, faded-page combines, and the research-only debuff and charm scrolls.
Enchanter spell research scribes debuff, charm, and utility scrolls by combining pages — from grimoires, writs, and tomes — inside the
Tome of Endless EnchantmentsTome of Endless EnchantmentsQuest ItemLORE, the Enchanter research book. Research is the only source for a large slice of the Enchanter book, including several charm and mez variants.
Research creates the scroll. You combine the numbered pages (e.g. Tasarin's Grimoire Pg. 26) in the Tome; on success you get the spell scroll, scribed normally.
Do not put Quill, Parchment, or a Mortar & Pestle in the combine — they make it fail. The Tome only takes the pages the recipe calls for.
At a glance
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Class lock | Enchanter only |
| Container | |
| Component family | Pages (grimoires, writs, tomes) |
| Governing stat | INT or WIS, whichever is higher |
| Skill cap (early) | (Level − 15) × 5 |
| Hard cap | 200 |
| Scroll sources | Researched (only path for many); some vendor at low tier |
| Signature research-only spells | Mesmerization, Feedback, Mana Sieve, Allure |
How research works
- Farm the pages the recipe needs. Many spells take both sides of a numbered page; some take a faded page plus a numbered one.
- Place the pages in your Tome of Endless Enchantments (no quill, no mortar).
- Combine. Success produces the spell scroll. Combine at or below your level for better odds.
You cannot research below level 16; early skill is capped at (Level − 15) × 5.
Faded pages: some components are faded and must be combined first to become a usable numbered page. A faded sub-combine can carry a higher trivial than the spell itself, so it is often the real skill gate — not the final combine.
Recipe samples
Trivials are approximate. Vendor sold = a scroll copy also exists on a merchant; Research only = the combine is the sole source.
| Lvl | Spell | Trivial | Components | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 16 | Levitate | 22 | Tasarin's Grimoire Pg. 23 (both sides) | Vendor sold |
| 16 | Disempower | 22 | Tasarin's Grimoire Pg. 24 (both sides) | Vendor sold |
| 16 | Mesmerization | 22 | Tasarin's Grimoire Pg. 26 (both sides) | Research only |
| 24 | Invigor | 62 | Velishoul's Tome Pg. 16 (faded) + Pg. 17 | Vendor sold |
| 29 | Feedback | 95 | Velishoul's Tome Pg. 108 (faded) + Pg. 109 | Research only |
| 34 | Mana Sieve | 122 | Salil's Writ Pg. 90 (both sides) | Research only |
| 49 | Allure | 182 | Nilitim's Grimoire Pg. 378 + Pg. 379 | Research only |
Skill-up path
- Train, don't grind, early. Your guild GM trains Research cheaply; see the practice-rune system for the grind past trainer cap.
- Hunt the level band, not a named camp for pages; combine faded pages early so you're not gated on a sub-combine later.
Components worth keeping
Mesmerization (Pg. 26), Berserker Strength (Pg. 30), Color Shift (Pg. 312), Strip Enchantment (Pg. 390), all Salil's Writ pages (lvl 34–39), and Nilitim's Grimoire pages (lvl 44–49) are rare enough to bank or sell.
Race note
Enchanter research is class-locked, not race-locked. An Iksar, Troll, or Ogre Enchanter researches the same recipes as a High Elf or Dark Elf. The Last Camp's any-race-class creation doesn't change the class gate.
Common mistakes
- Putting Quill/Parchment/Mortar in the Tome — guaranteed failure.
- Forgetting a spell needs both sides of a page, or a faded page combined first.
- Burning pages on already-vendored low-tier scrolls. Save combines for research-only spells.
- Letting research skill lag your level.
