Shroud of Eternity
Shroud of Eternity is the signature back-slot drop of the Plane of Time end encounter — Quarm and the Ferocious Warboar dispatch it as one of the loot pieces that finalises the era's progression. The shawl carries an all-class stat block that hits HP, mana, endurance, and a flat resist spread, making it one of the few back-slot items that lands cleanly on every role in the raid.
It is the bookend back item for PoP. Once a guild is killing Quarm consistently, Shroud of Eternity rotates onto every class that has not already replaced its back slot from a class-specific PoTime drop.
Why it matters
Shroud of Eternity is the universal back upgrade at the top of the era. In an expansion where most raid loot is class-spiked, the shroud is class-agnostic and slot-stable — every member of the raid can equip it without rerolling priority lists. That makes it one of the easiest pieces to assign during loot distribution: whoever has the worst back slot on the kill takes it.
Mechanically the shroud combines mid-tier stat density with the era's full resist spread (18 across all five schools). PoP raid AEs lean on multiple resist schools across encounters, and the flat 18 spread covers fights where building a single-school resist set is impractical. The 5 HP regen worn is a small but constant addition that compounds across long Time pulls.
It also signals progression. Anyone wearing the shroud has been to the back of PoTime and seen Quarm die. On The Last Camp, where the raid scene is consolidating around era-correct PoP content, the shroud is the visible marker that a player has finished the era.

The Last Camp any-race-class note
Shroud of Eternity is All class and All race in canonical EQ data, and The Last Camp preserves that opening — every race-class combination on the server can equip it, including the combinations only The Last Camp permits. Because the shroud is No Drop, each character must earn it on a Time kill personally; loot trading between alts is not an option.
The all-class flag also means the shroud sits at the top of the loot list for whichever class on the kill has the worst back slot — there's no hybrid contention with class-restricted PoTime back drops, which keeps loot meetings short.
