The rocky Faydwer bowl with a central lake — the only land path to Estate of Unrest and the only entry to Kedge Keep.

Dagnor's Cauldron is the small Classic Faydwer outdoor zone tucked north of Butcherblock Mountains. The shape is exactly what the name suggests — a stone bowl with a deep central lake and steep walls — and almost everyone who passes through is heading somewhere else. The Estate of Unrest sits in the eastern wall, and the underwater entrance to Kedge Keep is at the bottom of the lake. The outdoor camps themselves are quiet by Faydwer standards — aqua goblins along the shore, exiled orcs in the south, drakes and serpents around the water. For most players, the Cauldron is a road, not a destination.
Camps
- Aqua goblin shore camp (south-central, around -400, 0) — the densest cluster in zone. Aqua_goblin_mariner / _bosun / _shaman / _tidal_lord L12-24, with
an_undertow_skeletonmixed in anda_sandbar_serpent/a_shoal_serpentpatrolling the shallows. Named-rotation drops include Dwigus_Lowater, Barnacle_Bones, Squallslither, Jetsam, and Flotsam. - South-west goblin patrol (-600, -800) — same roster as the shore camp, smaller density. Good first pull for L12-15 groups arriving from Butcherblock.
- Exiled orc camp (far south-west, -2200, -800) —

The only non-goblin trash cluster in zone; faction reads against Crushbone1 (exiled orcs), distinct from active Crushbone Orcs. - Drake / cliff lookouts (north walls) — Elmion_Hendrys, Nyrien_Lyrdarniel, Ghilanbiddle_Nylwadil, Sigan_Ilbirkun (all L20, scattered).
- Lake bottom — passing serpents and the underwater entrance corridor to Kedge Keep.

- Owlbear Defenders (1497) — serpent parent (a_shoal_serpent + a_sandbar_serpent). TAKP-strict animal faction; ticks against jungle-defender allies.
- Earth Mephit (623) — rat and a_shoal_serpent variant assists. KOS to most.
- Gargoyle (79) — assorted KOS_assist for unbound aquatic mobs.
- Merchant (32) — bind-zone merchants + the exiled orc cohort tied to the Crushbone1 (exiled) parent.

Using it well
Bind in Butcherblock Mountains or at the Cauldron entrance, not in the bowl itself. The Unrest approach is a known PvE camp on busy nights — check before pulling, since the manor mobs sometimes path back into the Cauldron. Carry an Enduring Breath solution before attempting Kedge, even on a SoW; the swim down is non-trivial and the entrance corridor adds to the breath timer. Aqua goblins now correctly assist as a goblin cohort (faction-canonical post-2026-05-23 pass) — pulling one in the shore camp can bring the whole roster, so pull from the edges, not the center. The drakes and cliff lookouts are slow and easily avoided on the ground; pulling them deliberately is fine, getting summoned by one mid-engagement on the southern goblins is not.
