Connections
  • Plane of Tranquility (flag-gated)
  • Plane of Earth B (internal)

Plane of Earth is the elemental realm of The Rathe Council — the seven elemental beings who collectively rule the earth plane in PoP-era cosmology. Unlike the other three elemental planes, Earth is split into two zones (Plane of Earth A and Plane of Earth B), connected by an internal portal. The architecture is deep cavern: stone golem foundries, mineral-vein corridors, and a central council chamber where the Rathe themselves sit on their seven thrones. Plane of Earth sits in PoP elemental tier, flag-gated, and is one of the four planes required for the path to Plane of Time. The Rathe Council fight is one of the era's signature multi-target encounters and the most mechanically demanding of the four elemental boss fights.

Content

  • Stone golems — melee-heavy trash, physical mitigation gear required.
  • Earth elementals — caster-type patrols in the deeper caverns.
  • Mineral aspects — rare-spawn elementals with armor-debuff procs.
  • Rathe lieutenants — named guardians gating the council chamber.
  • The Rathe Council — seven simultaneous bosses in the council chamber, the elemental tier's signature fight.
  • Brell-aspected named — earth-themed mid-zone, carries dwarf and gnome racial gear drops.
  • Plane of Earth B — internal sub-zone with extended trash and named cycle.

Why bother

Plane of Earth is one of the four elemental keys to Plane of Time. Without a Rathe Council kill, the Time approach stays sealed. The council fight is also the era's hardest single elemental encounter — beating it is the prestige clear that separates a competent guild from a top-tier one. The Rathe drop elemental access tokens and a unique pool of raid weapons specific to the earth theme, including several stone-aspected best-in-slot items found nowhere else.

The two-zone structure means more total content than the other elemental planes — a clear of A and B together is a multi-day project for most guilds, with significant trash gear drops and several Warrior, Paladin, and Shadow Knight earth-themed plate pieces that are best-in-era. The dwarf, gnome, and Brell-faction lore weight here is the strongest of any deity plane — a Brell devotee finds their plane's spiritual home in the Rathe's caverns, and the Council itself is the era's highest expression of stone-elemental cosmology.

Using it well

Enter from Plane of Tranquility via the Plane of Earth A stone. Plane of Earth B is reached via internal portal once A's lieutenants are cleared. Bring physical mitigation gear and tanks with high AC; the stone golems and elementals hit hard physically. Magic resist is secondary; the casters in the deeper caverns use earth-aspected magic that resist gear handles cleanly. Pre-buff physical mitigation procs and AC-boost songs before the council pull.

The Rathe Council is the entire reason to visit. Seven bosses fight simultaneously, with overlapping AE mechanics and a kill-order requirement that punishes raids who burn the wrong target first. Pre-plan the kill order, assign tank rotations per Rathe, and bring a deep cleric bench. The Last Camp's open class system means the cleric and warrior columns can stay staffed across the multi-target requirement — any race can roll either, including races that canonically can't, and the open roster keeps the seven simultaneous tank-and-heal assignments filled even when canon-class supply would run dry.
